MYOB Exo has developed helpful improvements and fixes to older issues with its latest product update. In this article, we explain some of the new features of MYOB Exo 2022.
Taxable Payments Annual Report update
In MYOB Exo 2022, the taxable payments annual report utilises a new ATO service. As a result, there are now fewer fields to fill out, simplifying the reporting process.
For example, details such as currency codes, extra addresses, and country names have been removed. Reducing unnecessary fields ensures that your reports contain only the most relevant information.
In addition, these changes do not affect TPAR functions or setup within the ERP system.
Note from the MYOB Exo team: As a one-off step in the TPAR process, you might need to send a copy of your TPAR report directly to the ATO when making an online submission. Email us at myob.support@alphabiz.com.au for assistance in contacting the ATO.
Editing a creditor invoice date with MYOB Exo 2022
MYOB Exo 2022’s new features also include the capability to edit dates an invoice was received. Consequently, the feature provides a clearer picture of the transactions within the system and more accuracy to your records.
To edit a received date, follow these steps:
- Right-click on the invoice and select Edit Ref Fields
- You will be redirected to an Edit Transaction Reference window where you can edit the Invoice Received filed.
Job Costing: Preventing negative stock in MYOB Exo 2022
In MYOB Exo Job Costing, there is a feature that allows users to duplicate jobs. However, because duplicating jobs takes only a few clicks, users can lose track of the stock to the point of negative inventory.
Luckily, in the MYOB Exo 2022.1 update, users are immediately prompted when a duplicate job will result in negative stock.
When selecting Duplicate actual job transaction lines, a window for Duplicate Records Negative Stock opens.
Note from the MYOB Exo Team: Enable the “Prevent processing to negative stock levels” profile settings in MYOB Exo Configurator, so that the “Duplicate Record Negative Stock” window will open.
According to the MYOB Exo Release Notes, once the window is open, there will be two options to choose from:
- Duplicate Job without transactions – Creates a new duplicate job without any of the transactions present in the original job.
- Duplicate Job and remaining transactions – Creates a new duplicate job with transactions from the original job that won’t cause negative stock quantities.
On-site ERP systems like MYOB Exo often cater to warehousing businesses because of their rich inventory management features. This new feature in the latest release is sure to improve your process.
