AlphaBiz Solutions’ Peter Coole Inducted in the Hall of Fame at SyBiz 2023 Conference

AlphaBiz Solutions’ Director of Client Services, Peter Coole, was recently awarded the prestigious Hall of Fame award at the Sybiz 2023 International Conference. In an interview, Peter attributed his award to the team at AlphaBiz. The team’s relentless pursuit of excellence resulted in their recognition as the Business Partner of the Year.

Achievements at SyBiz 2023 International Conference

Sybiz, a prominent Australian software company, held their first international conference post the pandemic. During the conference, Sybiz CEO Grant Argy awarded the second Sybiz Hall of Fame inductee award to Peter Coole. In his acceptance speech, Peter expressed his gratitude, saying:

“I must admit that from the very first day I started working [in the industry and] with Sybiz solutions, I thought I was so lucky to be getting paid to do work that I really enjoyed”.

We were able to have a catch-up with Pete and he said that it was not just a solo achievement but the whole AlphaBiz team played an instrumental role in helping him win the Hall of Fame award.

The Business Partner of the Year award, which the team won, recognized their dedication to clients. Peter expressed his appreciation for the team’s hard work and efforts, especially during challenging times. Peter stated that AlphaBiz addresses and resolves clients’ issues by adopting a mix of working from home and the office.

Pete’s Start in the Industry 

Peter has been in the industry for more than four decades now. He started working with/for Sybiz in 1982, where he created & installed business systems, including some of the very first multi-user accounting software for small to medium businesses in WA. Sybiz introduced the first Windows accounting software in the world in the early 1990s which was very different from what we were used to at the time. After the Y2k and GST crazy years, Peter spent a year in Ireland helping with the pound to the euro conversion process. 

Current Role at AlphaBiz Solutions 

Peter’s role in AlphaBiz is Director of Client Services. He has been with the company for more than 9 years, where he oversees consultants and support & development teams. He ensures that they provide the necessary resources and upgrades to help clients as much as possible. Peter is grateful for the amazing team he has and credits them for AlphaBiz’s success.

Shadi Kheder, Director and business partner to Peter since 2014, attributes Peter’s Hall of Fame award for his drive and compassion to sell and support the Sybiz product range over the 40-year span and using the Sybiz platform in helping clients come up with solutions to complex problems.

Peter’s Plans for the Future 

Peter looks forward to expanding AlphaBiz’s services and offering clients even more support. He hopes to provide new services that cater to specific clients’ needs and seeks to solve complex business challenges. Peter believes that there is always room for growth and improvement. 

Lessons Learned Throughout Peter’s Career 

Peter Coole, emphasizes that his achievements and success are never done alone, but the result of a team effort. Throughout his career, he acknowledges the value of good mentors, including his father and one of his first business partners. They provided guidance, not just in business, but in life in general. 

Peter acknowledges that he was once a self-proclaimed geek, but over the years, he has learned to apply more humanity to his work, which he believes has made him a better leader. He credits his team’s hard work and dedication to their success, and it’s always been the team that he believes contributed to their many accolades from Sybiz and MYOB over the years, even if some of the awards were given to individuals.
